Laa’o to qatl naama maira, main bhi daikh loon Kis kis ki mohr hay sar-e-mahzar lagi hui
* In Nov 1917, Foreign Minister of Britain promised to the head of Zionist movement to form a national fatherland for Jews in Palestine, in his secret letter. It was a reward for Jews for their financial and technological support to Britain in World War I.
* Palestine was a province of Turkish Empire (Khilafat-e-Usmania). Hijaz was another province of Turkish Empire. Its Governor was “Sharif Hussein of Makkah”. Britain offered Sharif Hussein that if he revolted against Turk Caliph, he will be helped and will be made an autonomous ruler of all Arab region “except some Western districts of Syria” i.e. Israel. Sharif of Makkah accepted the offer and revolted against the Caliph of Muslims.
* When British army defeated Turks in Palestine and entered Jerusalem as victorious forces, Palestinian Muslims gave them a warm welcome coming out of the city. At that time British Foreign Minister’s promise to the head of Zionist movement was not anymore secret and was internationally revealed.
* Jews started pouring into Palestine. The Palestinian landlords, living in Syria and Lebanon helped these Jews by selling their Palestinian lands to these Jews, at very low rates.
* When population of Jews in Palestine reached alarming limits, Palestinians revolted against Britain, but as they were divided, they were defeated.
During World War II, Hitler massacred about six hundred thousand Jews in Germany, the remaining fled to Palestine.
* When Britain predicted that a Jewish nation state could be formed, it handed over all the Palestinian territory to UN. In Nov 1947,UN divided Palestine through a resolution into two autonomous parts. 56% area for Israel and 44% for Palestine. Israel accepted the resolution, but Arabs and Palestinians rejected. (From that day in every next peace plan, map of Palestine is continuously reduced. Now PLO after being frustrated in all its efforts to occupy Palestine by power, contended itself to Gaza strip and Western Bank strip only. And this autonomy is interior only.)
* King Hussein of Jordan was against the state of Palestine. (State of Palestine was a threat to his Kingdom, as historically Jordan is a part of Palestine. Palestinians have their equal right on Jordan as they have on Israel). So King Hussein had secret talks with Israel to prevent the formation of Palestine and did a secret accord with Israel to let it occupy some regions.
I* n May 1948, Israel announced the independence. Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq attacked Israel. They were defeated. Israel occupied more regions.
In this war Egypt occupied Gaza strip and Jordan occupied Western Bank region. They could form Palestinian state in these areas, but they did not give these regions back to Palestinians, rather kept them with themselves.
* Jamal Abdul Nasir of Egypt used to give Maula Jatt style threats to Israel, and claimed a lot of time to throw Israel into Mediterranean Sea. In May and June 1967 he started saying that he can attack Israel any moment. Instead of it, Israel attacked Egypt, Syria and Jordan silently, in June 5, 1967.Within a day Israel destroyed all aeroplanes and air bases of these countries. In six days Israel took back Gaza strip and 60,000 square kilometre area of Sinai. This area is three times the area of Israel. President Nasir admitted that from Suez Canal to Cairo, there existed not a single soldier of Egypt, and if Israeli forces wanted, they can conquer Cairo easily. Israel also occupied Eastern Jerusalem from Jordan and Golan Heights from Syria.
* In Oct 1973 Egypt and Syria again attacked Israel. Israel occupied more territories of Syria.
In 1978 Egypt signed a treaty with Israel in Camp David. It got back Egypt’s territories from Israel. But let Israel keep Gaza Strip.
