Women’s Rights Act claims a very cautious behavior. Section 375 of this act defines rape. Section 376 describes its punishment. Along with other cases, the definition of rape also includes sexual intercourse with ones own wife:
- Against her will; or
- Without her consent.
It also includes sexual intercourse with ones own wife with her consent if she is less than 16.
So if
- One performs sex with his wife forcibly; or
- Marries a woman of less than 16 (say 15 years and 11 months), and consummates his marriage with her will, he could be
- Hanged, or
- Sent to jail for 10 to 25 years and should also be liable to fine.
