“Kia Taqseem-e-Hind ki Bunyaad Ghair Mazhabi hai?” is a wonderful writing on the issue. The writer very rightly highlighted the contradiction in the view of those who claim that the partition of India was not occurred due to religion. They maintain that the slogan “Pakistan ka Matlab kia, Laa Ilaha Illallah” was tolerated due to political reasons, otherwise League and Jannah were against the religious identity of Pakistan. If one insists on such a notion, then it means that League and Jinnah were deceiving millions of the Muslims of India. It means they were hypocrites.

The Death of My Son
My son Yousha, 4½, died on May 25, 2008, at 1:05 a.m. He had undergone a minor surgery adenoidectomy: a surgery performed to remove adenoids. I cannot find words to express my grief on his death.

Here is the text of Murree Declaration, signed by PML(N) and PPP on March 9, 2008, Sunday:
1-Allied parties, the Pakistan People’s Party and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) resolve to form a coalition government for giving a practical shape to the mandate, which was given to the democratic forces by the people of Pakistan on February 18, 2008.
2-This has been decided in today’s summit between the PPP and the PML (N) that the deposed judges would be restored, on the position as they were on November 2, 2007, within 30 days of the formation of the federal government through a parliamentary resolution.
3-The parties agreed that all allied parties would fully support the candidate for the position of the prime minister, nominated by the PPP. The PML (N) suggested that the candidate for prime minister should be such person who can take ahead the common agenda of the allied parties.
4-The parties agreed that the speaker and the deputy speaker of the national assembly would be from the PPP while the speaker and the deputy speaker of the Punjab assembly would be from the PML (N).
5-Both the parties agreed that the PML (N) would be a part of the federal government while the PPP would be a part of the Punjab government.
6-This is the solid opinion of the leaderships of both the parties that the allied parties are ready for forming the governments and the sessions of the national and provincial assemblies be summoned immediately.

Provisional Constitutional Order 2007
Here is the text of this notorious PCO, imposed by General Pervez Musharraf:
Provisional Constitution Order
In pursuance of the Proclamation of the 3rd day of November, 2007, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Chief of Army Staff under the Proclamation of Emergency of the 3rd day of November, 2007, is pleased to make and promulgate the following Order:-
1. (1) This Oder may be called the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of 2007.
(2) It extends to the whole of Pakistan,
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2* (1) Notwithstanding the abeyance of the provisions of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, hereinafter referred to as the Constitution, Pakistan shall, subject to this Order and any other Order made by the President be governed, as nearly as may be, in accordance with the Constitution:
Provided that the President may, from time to time, by Order amend the Constitution, as is deemed expedient;
Provided further that the Fundamental Rights under Articles 9, 10, 15,16,17,19 and 25 shall remain suspended.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Proclamation of the 3rd day of November, 2007, or this Order or any other law for the time being in force all provisions of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan embodying Islamic injunctions including Articles 2t 2A, 31, 203A to 203J, 227 to 231 and 260 (3) (a) and (b) shall continue to be In force.
(3) Subject to clause (1) above and the Oath of Office
(Judges) Order, 2007, all courts in existence immediately before the commencement of this Order shall continue to function and to exercise their respective powers and jurisdication.
Provided that the Supreme Court or a High Court and any other court shall not have the power to make any order against the President or the Prime Minister or any person exercising powers or jurisdiction under their authority.
(4) All personi who immediately before the commencement of this Order were in office as judges of the Supreme Court, the Federal Shariat Court or a High Court, shall be governed by and be subject to the Oath of Office (Judges) Order, 2007, and such further Orders as the President may pass.
(5) Subject to clause (1) above, the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) and the Provincial Assemblies shall continue to function.
(6) All persons who, immediately before the commencement of this Order, were holding any service, post or office in connection with the affairs of the Federation ox of a Province, including an All Pakistan Service, Service in the Armed Forces and any other Service declared to be a Service of Pakistan by or under Act of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) or of a Provincial Assembly, or Chief Election Commissioner or Auditor General shall continue in the said service on the same terms and conditions and shall enjoy the same privileges, if any, unless these are changed under Orders of the President.
3, (l) No court including the Supreme Court, the Federal Shariat Court, and the High Courts, and any tribunal or other authority shall call or permit to be called in question this Order, the Proclamation of Emergency of the 3rd day of November, 5007, the Oath of Office (Judges) Order, 2007 or any Order made in pursuance thereof.
(2) No judgment, decree, writ, order or process whatsoever shall be made or issued by any court or tribunal against the President or the Prime Minister or any authority designated by the President.
4. (]) Notwithstanding the abeyance of the provisions of the Constitution, but subject to the Orders of the President, all laws other than the Constitution, til Ordinances. Orders, Rules, Bye-laws, Regulations, Notifications and other legal Instruments in force in any part of Pakistan, whether made by the President or the Governor of a Province, shall continue in force until ltered, amended or repealed by the Preaidont or any authority designated by him.
5. (I) An Ordinance promulgated by the President or by the Governor of a Province shall not be subject to any limitations as to duration prescribed in the Constitution.
(2) The provisions of clause (1) shall also apply to an Ordinance issued by the President or by a Governor which was in force immediately before the commencement of the Proclamation of Emergency of the 3rd day of November, 2007.

Ten Commandments of Quran
These Then Commandments are derived from verse 22-39 of Surah Bani Israel ( Sura Isra). Following is a translation of these verses:
Serve no other god except God, lest [on the Day of Judgement] you are left blameworthy and disgraceful. And [remember that] your Lord has enjoined you to worship none but Him, and to treat well your parents. If either or both of them attain old age in your life, show them no sign of impatience, nor scold them while answering; but speak to them with good etiquette and treat them with humility and tenderness and say: “Lord, be merciful to them the way they nursed me in childhood.” Your Lord fully knows what is in your hearts; if you remain obedient [to them, then you should know that] He forgives those who turn to Him. And give to the near of kin their due, and also the destitute and to the traveller. Do not squander your wealth wastefully, for the wasteful are Satan’s brothers; and Satan is ever-ungrateful to his Lord. And if you have to disregard [those in need] because you are seeking your Lord’s bounty of which you are waiting, then at least speak to them affectionately. And do not be miserly or prodigal [that as a result of it] you should either earn reproach or be reduced to indigence. Indeed your Lord gives abundantly to whom He pleases and sparingly to whom He pleases. He is aware of His servants and is observing them. And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them also and for you because killing them is a heinous crime.
And do not even go near adultery because it is blatant lewdness and a very evil path. And do not kill any man whose life has been held sacred by God, except for a just cause and [remember that] if a man is slain unjustly, We have given his heir the authority. Then he should also not exceed limits in his revenge because he has been helped. And do not approach the wealth of orphans except in a just manner, until they reach maturity. And keep your promises because you shall be held accountable for promises. Give full measure, when you measure, and weigh with correct scales. This is better and fairer as far as the consequences are concerned. And do not go after what you know not because eyes, ears, and heart – all of them shall be questioned. And do not walk conceitedly on the earth because neither can you split the earth, nor can you rival the mountains in stature. The evil of each of these to your Lord is very displeasing.
This is the wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. [Hold on steadfastly to it] and [in the end, listen once again:] serve no other deity besides God, lest [as a result] you should be cast into Hell condemned and rejected.

National Reconciliation Ordinance 2007
Here is the text of National Reconciliation Ordinance 2007, passed on October 5, 2007:
AN ORDINANCE
to promote national reconciliation
WHEREAS it is expedient to promote national reconciliation, foster mutual trust and confidence amongst holders of public office and remove the vestiges of political vendetta and victimisation, to make the election process more transparent and to amend certain laws for that purpose and for matters connected therewith and ancillary thereto:
AND WHEREAS the National Assembly is not in session and the president is satisfied that circumstances exist, which render it necessary to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article (89) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the president is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:
1. Short title and commencement.
(1) This ordinance may be called the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 494, Act V of 1898.
In the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898), section 494 shall be renumbered as sub-section (1) thereof and after sub-section (1) renumbered as aforesaid, the following sub-section (2) and (3) shall be added, namely:
“(2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in sub-section(1), the federal government or a provincial government may, before the judgment is pronounced by a trial court, withdraw from the prosecution of any person including an absconding accused who is found to be falsely involved for political reasons or through political victimization in any case initiated between 1st day of January, 1986 to 12th day of October, 1999 and upon such withdrawal clause (a) and clause (b) of sub-section (1) shall apply.
(3) For the purposes of exercise of powers under sub-section (2) the federal government and the provincial government may each constitute a review board to review the entire record of the case and furnish recommendations as to their withdrawal or otherwise.
(4) The review board in case of Federal Government shall be headed by a retired judge of the Supreme Court with Attorney-General and Federal Law Secretary as its members and in case of Provincial Government it shall be headed by a retired judge of the high court with Advocate-General and/or Prosecutor-General and Provincial Law Secretary as its members.
(5) A review board undertaking review of a case may direct the public prosecutor or any other authority concerned to furnish to it the record of the case.”
3. Amendment of section 39, Act LXXXV of 1976.- (1) In the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (LXXXV of 1976), in section 39, after sub-section (6), the following new sub-section (7) shall be added, namely:
“(7) After consolidation of results the Returning Officer shall give to such contesting candidates and their election agents as are present during the consolidation proceedings, a copy of the result of the count notified to the commission immediately against proper receipt and shall also post a copy thereof to the other candidates and election agents”.
4. Amendment of section 18, Ordinance XVIII of 1999.
In the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 (XVIII of 1999), hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in section 18, in clause (e), for the full stop at the end a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following proviso shall be added, namely:
“Provided that no sitting member of Parliament or a Provincial Assembly shall be arrested without taking into consideration the recommendations of the Special Parliamentary Committee on Ethics referred to in clause (aa) or Special Committee of the Provincial Assembly on Ethics referred to in clause (aaa) of section 24, respectively.”
5. Amendment of section 24, Ordinance XVIII of 1999.
In the said ordinance, in section 24, (i) in clause (a) for the full stop at the end a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following proviso shall be inserted, namely.
“Provided that no sitting member of Parliament or a Provincial Assembly shall be arrested without taking into consideration the recommendations of Special Parliamentary Committee on Ethics or Special Committee of the Provincial Assembly on Ethics referred to in clause (aa) and (aaa), respectively, before which the entire material and evidence shall be placed by the chairman, NAB.”; and (ii) after clause (a), amended as aforesaid, the following new clauses (aa) and (aaa) shall be inserted, namely;
(aa) The Special Parliamentary Committee on Ethics referred to in the proviso to clause (a) above shall consist of a chairman who shall be a member of either House of Parliament and eight members each from the National Assembly and Senate to be selected by the Speaker, National Assembly and Chairman Senate, respectively, on the recommendations of Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition of their respective houses, with equal representation from both sides.
(aaa) The Special Committee of the Provincial Assembly on Ethics shall consist of a chairman and eight members to be selected by the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly on the recommendation of Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition, with equal representation from both sides.”
6. Amendment of section 31A, Ordinance XVIII of 1999.
In the said Ordinance, in section 31A, in clause (a), for the full stop at the end a colon shall be substituted and thereafter the following new clause (aa) shall be inserted, namely:
“(aa) An order or judgment passed by the Court in absentia against an accused is void ab initio and shall not be acted upon.”
7. Insertion of new section, Ordinance, XVIII of 1999.
In the said Ordinance, after section 33, the following new section shall be inserted, namely:
“33A. Withdrawal and termination of prolonged pending proceedings initiated prior to 12th October, 1999.
(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Ordinance or any other law for the time being in force, proceedings under investigation or pending in any court including a high court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan initiated by or on a reference by the National Accountability Bureau inside or outside Pakistan, including proceedings continued under section 33, requests for mutual assistance and civil party to proceedings initiated by the Federal Government before the 12th day of October, 1999 against holders of public office stand withdrawn and terminated with immediate effect and such holders of public office shall also not be liable to any action in future as well under this Ordinance for acts having been done in good faith before the said date; provided that those proceedings shall not be withdrawn and terminated which relate to cases registered in connection with the cooperative societies and other financial and investment companies or in which no appeal, revision or constitutional petition has been filed against final judgment and order of the Court or in which an appellate or revisional order or an order in constitutional petition has become final or in which voluntary return or plea bargain has been accepted by the Chairman, National Accountability Bureau under section 25 or recommendations of the Conciliation Committee have been accepted by the Governor, State bank of Pakistan under section 25A.
(2) No action or claim by way of suit, prosecution, complaint or other civil or criminal proceeding shall lie against the Federal, Provincial or Local Gover ment, the National Accountability Bureau or any of their officers and functionaries for any act or thing done or intended to be done in good faith pursuant to the withdrawal and termination of cases under sub-section (1) unless they have deliberately misused authority in violation of law.

Hepatitis & Its Prevention

Hepatitis A
It is of acute in nature and does not have a chronic stage. Patient’s immune system makes antibodies against future infection.
Prevention
- Good hygiene and sanitation. Water should be boiled if
- Use your own towels and toothbrushes, eating utensils, and other personal products
- Wash your hands after and before eating.
- Wash your hands after using toilet
Hepatitis B
It could be both acute and chronic. The immune system of 15% of patients fails to remove virus after initial infection. In US 5% of the patients develop chronic infection. Only these people are at risk for complications of Hepatitis B.
Prevention
- Do not indulge in sex with those who are carriers of virus. Your spouse could also be a suspected carrier unless you come to a conclusion through blood screening. Remember in Pakistan one person in ten is infected with hepatitis.
- Do not use blood, which not screened.
- Do not reuse needle and syringes.
- Do not have baby if mother is infected.
- Make sure your dentist uses appropriate care and cleaning equipment for his instruments.
It is not Transmitted by:
- Casual contact, such as breathing, shaking or holding hands, or hugging.
- Kissing, sneezing and coughing.
- Sharing phones, toilets, or drinking fountains.
- Using same utensils.
- Using same towels and washing machines.
- Food and water.
- Breastfeeding.
Hepatitis C
It may lead to chronic form of Hepatitis C. The majority of patients with chronic Hepatitis C will never develop a complication related to this disease. Hepatitis C is a slow-working virus and usually, signs of inflammation in the liver don’t show up until 10-20 years after the exposure. However, if undetected/untreated, HCV can cause cirrhosis (scarring of the liver), liver failure, and liver cancer.
Prevention
- Do not share drug needles/syringes.
- Avoid unsanitary tattoo methods.
- Avoid unsanitary body piercing and acupuncture
- Avoid sharing grooming utensils e.g. comb etc.
- Avoid sharing personal items such as toothbrushes, razors, nail cutters etc.

- Casual contact, such as breathing, shaking or holding hands, or hugging.
- Kissing, sneezing and coughing.
- Sharing phones, toilets, or drinking fountains.

In the holy month of Ramazan, Satan is confined. But what about the followers of Satan?
Unfortunately they are gathered in Majid-e-Nabwi and Masjid-e-Haram in this holy month. A large number of smugglers, cheats, frauds, black marketeers, tax evaders, corrupts, vandals, rascals and those with inverted ethics reach Mecca and Medina to perform Umra and keep fasts and to carryout I’tikaaf. When they come back, their faces glow with the light of faith and they tell the stories that how God kept showering His Grace on them. As a matter of fact Pharaoh, Nimrud, Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab etc. were stupid people of extremely low intelligence. In order to live the life of malice, they invited God’s Wrath. But the heirs of Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab are fortunate enough, as they have devised a way to follow the footsteps of Satan on one hand and to gratify God on the other.
I cannot help quoting these words of Jesus Christ, which are reported in the Bible[a]:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater damnation.”

Unfortunately they are gathered in Majid-e-Nabwi and Masjid-e-Haram in this holy month. A large number of smugglers, cheats, frauds, black marketeers, tax evaders, corrupts, vandals, rascals and those with inverted ethics reach Mecca and Medina to perform Umra and keep fasts and to carryout I’tikaaf. When they come back, their faces glow with the light of faith and they tell the stories that how God kept showering His Grace on them. As a matter of fact Pharaoh, Nimrud, Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab etc. were stupid people of extremely low intelligence. In order to live the life of malice, they invited God’s Wrath. But the heirs of Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab are fortunate enough, as they have devised a way to follow the footsteps of Satan on one hand and to gratify God on the other.
I cannot help quoting these words of Jesus Christ, which are reported in the Bible[a]:
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater damnation.”
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.”
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like to white washed sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.”
